Rural Water District 2

Welcome to the Rural Water District #2 web page! RWD#2 has been in existence for over 45 years, serving the water needs of customers with over 85 miles of waterlines from 69^th and Oliver to 101^st Street North and Broadway, and west to Meridian from 77^th to 109^th Street North. We are currently serving over 570 residential and commercial customers within those areas. These territory boundaries are established by the State of Kansas. Our water originates from Wichita and Valley Center, which to a large extent determines the rates and tiers for customer billing.

Our governing Board is made up of existing customers, to ensure that the Board’s decisions are made by individuals who have the district’s and customers’ well-being in mind. We have established non-voting Associate Board positions to allow those interested in being on the Board to become familiar with the commitment, procedures and types of actions Board members experience, prior to becoming a voting member.
